For many of us, life has been an emotional rollercoaster for the past year. Just when we thought we could not handle any more curveballs, we get blasted again with uncertainty. Thankfully, I think we all are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. And it is about time!
We overcame so very many challenges, but one of the more peculiar ones stands out. How in the world do you tell if someone is smiling under their mask? Better yet, how do you rest your jaw after trying to grin so widely so that other people can see the smile in your eyes?
At Vodigy, you do not have to be even in the same room as us to know that we are always smiling. We pride ourselves on providing the best technology support for SMBs (small and medium businesses). That not only means employing the best in the field but also finding the people to give you the superior service that your business requires and deserves.
Take a look at a couple of awesome individuals we have on staff here right now –
Alex
Alex is one of our support specialists here at Vodigy. When you call in, it is likely that he will be one of the people you talk to first. He excels at customer relations and has a knack for remembering the finer details for specific situations to better serve all our clients.
On a regular basis, Alex deals mostly with Outlook, printers, and general workstation issues. If a client calls in needing assistance with a larger issue (think networks, servers, or firewall settings) he will immediately connect them with a level II or III tech to resolve the issue. When he can, he likes to observe or work with the higher techs to broaden his skills.
Currently, Alex is working on becoming better at PowerShell and server work/implementation.
In his downtime he likes to play board games with friends, work on cars, cook new foods, and learn more about things that interest him. Especially the secret to making the Triple GooberBerry Sunrise featured in the SpongeBob movie. We are all hoping for that, it looks delicious!
When asked what he thought Vodigy’s greatest asset, he replied “Our team is always polite, responsive, and constantly thinking of the future of the client to better them into a greater state than when we started working with them”.
George
George is our systems admin here at Vodigy. While he is not necessarily on the phones, he is out go-to guy for high level escalations and maintaining infrastructure. He works very hard to be proactive, catching issues well before they start, meaning the customer does not experiences outages during peak hours.
George enjoys fixing anything and everything. He possesses the keen ability to holistically see the whole system, while still paying attention to the small details. There is almost nothing George cannot solve!
As well, he states that technology is an ever-changing industry and part of that is helping to train the younger generation of technicians to succeed. He likes to focus on teaching and sharing knowledge when he can and finds the experience extremely rewarding. Afterall, part of maintaining a successful business is employing a team that works together and shares knowledge often.
In his spare time, George likes to fix, trade, and sell vintage computers and hardware. If you want to relive playing through Oregon Trail on your Apple II or Doom on your 486, he is your guy! I mean, who doesn’t want a chance to try and make it through without dying of a snake bite, breaking all the axels, or contracting cholera?
When he is not being Mr. Fixit, he loves to garden and cook with produce from his own garden, preserve food, and hangout with his two small rescue dogs MacDaddy and Pickles.
