Back it up
Across the board, back-ups are one of the things we are most thankful for in our line of work. Whether your data loss is a result of a natural disaster, cyberattack, or a simple ‘oops’ moment – having a proper back-up and recovery solution could make or break your future success.
Cell Phones
It can sometimes be easy to forget that one of our most useful tools is almost always close by – your cell phone.
One of our helpdesk technicians smartly pointed out that your cell phone is your access to the internet/network in the event of an outage. The ability to use cell phone signal, hot spot, and take pictures helps immensely in the trouble shooting process. Plus, the rest of our knowledgeable team is just a phone call away!
Computer Mice
Have you ever been stuck without a mouse when you need one? Suddenly simple tasks on your laptop or PC can become very onerous if all you are using is a track pad or a keyboard. It is times like these that we can really appreciate simple technologies.
As one of our Systems Administrators describes it, one of his most trusted tech tools is his computer mouse. The ability to right click, easily access file properties, and complete copy/paste functions is a vastly underrated tool.
On top of it all, computer mice are one of the easiest tools to take from one machine and use with another. Most of the time, it just becomes a matter of plugging and unplugging from the desired machine itself.
Caffeine
Don’t enjoy nodding off at your desk? Neither do we. At Vodigy we always have an ample supply of caffeinated beverages for employees to enjoy. Afterall, somedays you just need that little extra spark of energy to get you through the day.
While it is not technically a tech tool, the caffeine we consume helps us stay awake and alert when we need to. Plus, we always have enough to share!
